As you are staring at that gigantic pimple in the middle of your forehead, you are probably wondering “Why Me?” Don’t feel bad. You aren’t the first person to get acne and you won’t be the last person to get it. But the best thing that you can do is find a way to prevent acne before it happens. It isn’t that difficult to do.
First things first, a clean face will prevent acne 90% of the time. I know what you are thinking – “I wash my face every day”. But do you really? Do you take 10 minutes and really scrub and cleanse your face or do you just brush your washcloth over your face and move on? If you aren’t really dedicating time to cleansing your face, you aren’t doing enough to prevent acne. Cleansing your face each morning and each night will do wonders in the defense against acne. And it only will take a few extra minutes a day. Is it that hard to get up a little earlier to prevent acne?
A healthy balanced diet combined with a regular exercise routine will also prevent acne breakouts. The right diet will keep your body and skin in great shape. And your diet should include at least 6 glasses of water a day. Water helps the kidneys flush toxins out of the body and it keeps us hydrated as well. Hydration is the key to well moisturized skin and well moisturized skin resists acne breakouts. A regular exercise routine will keep you healthy and will eliminate stress. Stress is a major cause of acne and anything that you can do to eliminate stress is another weapon in your defense against acne.
Finally, consult your family doctor or pharmacist about the additional things that you can do to prevent acne. They can suggest certain products that can help you keep your skin healthy. There are numerous cleansers, scrubs and medicinal products that can stop acne before it starts.
Doing the things that I mentioned are simple and easy to incorporate into your daily routine. And they are much easier than suffering through the inevitable embarrassment that an acne breakout will bring.
